What an exhausting first day at the US Open. Sarah won her first match 9-7 over Miyuki Sakai, got some time to rest and then went up against Tracie Hines. Unfortunately, Tracie got the best of her with a 9-7 win, pushing Sarah over to the one loss bracket.
Sarah’s got her work cut out for her. This morning she’ll go up against WPBA veteran Belinda Calhoun. The winner of that match will go on to play the winner of the Susan Williams vs. Morgan Steinman match. To get back to the redraw, she’ll need to win 3 matches today.
Since I’ve got some downtime between now and the 2009 WPBA Tour, I thought I’d share some of my favorite pictures from the past year. The first on the list is of my pal Melissa Herndon
While the tall lady plays her matches, sometimes Melissa is nice enough to keep me company in the WPBA booth. Plus, she’s got major pull since she’s on the Board of Directors so she always gets me past that damn velvet rope.
Well, Mike is making good on his promise to rebuild my home now that I’ve been evicted from MySpace. He told me that he uploaded all my photo albums to something called Flickr so everyone can check out my adventures. I’m not quite sure what he means, but I did see a bunch of my pictures up, so I guess he’s doing his job.
Man am I gonna miss hanging out with my pals on MySpace, but hopefully they’ll come chill at my new pad once Mike adds some paint, wallpaper and a little bling.
On another note, the tall lady, Niki and I had a blast at the Florida State Championships. The tall lady didn’t take home the trophy, but we still rocked it hard.
